In this role you will support the business lead of the UK Sneakers category. If you have a passion for sneakers and streetwear, and have a background in digital commerce, we would love to hear from you!The OpportunityYou will support in defining the UK Sneakers strategy to promote eBay’s value proposition with Sneaker buyers and sellers and implement this through working with strategically important sellers, brands and retailers to ensure that eBay has the inventory to continue to grow this area whilst being accountable for the operational and commercial success of the overall seller portfolio and the wider category.Key Responsibilities:Build category and market expertise to identify and exploit opportunities for eBay and build inventory plans around new and upcoming products, unique and key inventory.Implement project plans with cross functional partners such as marketing, account managers, merchandising and operations to launch new initiatives and promote the category through merchandising site content, paid ads, events and promotions.Interpret seller customer needs and behaviours & use them to get the best/ most relevant offer to the buyer.Assess large amounts of quantitative and qualitative data to make business decisions, monitoring and reporting on key digital and retail metrics including sales, traffic, conversion, inventory volume, return rate and customer happiness.Develop expert understanding of sellers' business operations and current strategies and utilise insight to find opportunities for growth.Lead and develop the relationship with key sellers, brands and retailers within the portfolio and in line with the category strategy.Support team with seller acquisition efforts, specifically lead generation.Calculate, manage and monitor performance against agreed KPI's.What you bring: Proven experience in planning, buying, merchandising or category management in an online retail or marketplace environment. Experience with second-hand markets and Sneakers preferred.Passion for sneakers and streetwear with a broader interest in fashion & luxury goods; experience in the space and/or relationships with key industry players.Motivated to grow with an entrepreneurial mentality to drive performance against agreed metrics.Demonstrated track record of broad functional abilities with solid understanding of offline and online marketing within the Sneakers category and fashion more broadly.Able to target merchandise, appropriate sources of that merchandise and work with sellers to get it to site quickly.Strong analytical skills and business sense in sophisticated data environment; ability to articulate the data clearly to key stakeholders and identify program performance, trends, and areas of opportunity.Please see the Talent Privacy Notice for information regarding how eBay handles your personal data collected when you use the eBay Careers website or apply for a job with eBay.eBay is an equal opportunity employer.
