Scope:Ensuring the organization's compliance with software licensing agreements, optimizing license usage, supporting efficient financial forecasting, and managing contract renewal processes for various software assets.What you’ll do:Responsible for managing all software licenses used within the organization including tracking licenses, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements, and managing renewals.Monitor and analyze software license usage to align with contractual commitments and the financial forecast process.Maintain accurate records of software license agreements, renewals, and true-up activities.Work with IT and business units to understand future software needs and set new financial targets for license renewals.Monitor license usage and identify opportunities to optimize license usage and reduce costs.Partner with procurement team to negotiate software license agreements and renewals ensuring organization is getting the best possible value for its software licenses.Provide guidance and support to business units on software licensing issues to ensure that they are using software licenses in compliance with licensing agreements and regulations.Generate regular reports on license consumption, compliance status, and renewal timelines.Assist in the contract renewal process by providing accurate and up-to-date information on license usage.Facilitate true-up processes by reconciling actual software usage against existing license agreements in line with yearly/quarterly financial targets.Identify and communicate any gaps or overages in license consumption to relevant stakeholders.Stay up to date on licensing regulations and industry trends to ensure that the organization is using software licenses in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.Develop and implement processes and procedures for managing software licenses to ensure that the organization is using its licenses efficiently and effectively.What we are looking for:Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.5-7 years’ experience in Software License Management or a related field.Proficiency in using license management tools and systems.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex license agreements.Strong understanding of licensing agreements and regulations to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.Strong understanding of various software licensing models (per user, per device, subscription-based) and the legal implications associated with software licenses.Ability to analyze software usage data to determine licensing needs, identify opportunities for cost savings, and ensure compliance with licensing agreements.Ability to communicate technical information to nontechnical stakeholders.
