Senior Director of Engineering - IAM

We're looking for more than just a technical expert; we want someone who is empathetic, understands the intricacies of engineering leadership, and specializes in the authentication and authorization space. What You'll DoLead, mentor and inspire our IAM engineering team, providing the guidance and support needed to deliver exceptional resultsDevelop and execute strategic initiatives to enhance our IAM capabilities, aligning with both business objectives and industry best practicesCollaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define IAM requirements, design scalable solutions, and implement effective security controlsDrive the evolution of our IAM systems, including identity lifecycle management, access controls, authentication, and authorization mechanismsStay ahead of emerging technologies and trends in IAM, recommending and implementing solutions to improve our security posture and operational efficiencyCultivate strong relationships with vendors and third-party providers to ensure the delivery of high-quality products and servicesEstablish and uphold governance processes, policies, and standards related to IAM, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standardsWhat You’ll NeedRequired Qualifications Bachelor’s degree with 12 years related experience, or equivalent experienceMinimum 8 years of direct people management experience, including leading Directors and ManagersPreferred Qualifications3+ years of experience in IAM engineering leadership Deep understanding of IAM concepts, protocols, and technologies, such as SAML, OAuth, LDAP, Active Directory, and multi-factor authenticationExperience implementing and maintaining an IAM systemExperience with modern SaaS applications and IAM solutions, including familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCPStrong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organizationDemonstrated ability to drive innovation, implement process improvements, and deliver results in a dynamic, fast-paced environmentTravel & Remote Work OpportunitiesEmbark on exciting journeys with an estimated 25%+ travel, fostering connections with customers and Workiva teamsEnjoy the convenience of reliable remote work, ensuring productivity and well-being, as you contribute to the growth of our innovative IAM solutions How You’ll Be Rewarded✅ Salary range in the US: $191,000.00 - $325,000.00✅ A discretionary bonus typically paid annually✅ Restricted Stock Units granted at time of hire✅ 401(k) match and comprehensive employee benefits packageThe salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this job in the US.
