Entrusted with the strategic responsibility of internal business units and cross-functional collaborations to translate technologies into competitive products from define, design, and development to differentiate HP Commercial PCs solution. This role exerts a substantial influence over executive staff decision-making. Leading a global and multiple functions Engineering team, the VP of Commercial Architecture & Solutions is instrumental in fostering collaboration with product management, system management, and other key stakeholders to align product offerings with customer demands and maintain technological supremacy within the industry.Responsibilities Strategy Planning: Define and execute the Architecture & Solutions vision and strategy for commercial products and platforms.Collaborate and negotiate with other business units and functions to align the product roadmap and architecture with the business goals and prioritiesMarket and technical insight: Industry experience and savvy in recognizing external market shifts and technological trends, translating them into competitive opportunities/threats, and mobilizing the technical community to act.Influence and communicate with executive management and external partners on the product direction and value propositionCustomer Insight to Solution: Work with marketing and leaderships to understand the customer requirements and market trends and translate them into product solutionsRisk Management & Compliance: Ensure that products are designed and developed with high quality, performance, scalability, reliability and securityManage Commercial Architecture & Solutions budget, resources, and timelines, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with expectations and requirements of the stakeholdersDrive innovation and continue improvement in the architecture processes and practicesTeam Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of architects and engineers across multiple domains and disciplinesQualifications Strong and depth of knowledge and expertise needed in various architecture domains and disciplines, such as system, hardware, software, AI, telemetry, security, etc for the skills, scale and complexity of the roleIn-depth experience with PC ecosystem partnersCapable of building strong relationships and working cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholdersStrong organizational, project management, and multi-tasking skills with a demonstrated ability to manage expectations and deliver resultsAbility to influence senior executives on Technology roadmap and articulate business Benefit / RiskAbility to uncover technology opportunities, dig into details to understand systems deeply, and articulate technical details and risks to business leadersKnowledge and experience of AI, ML, and GenAI as it relates to modern Engineering practices and feature capabilities.Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and diverse stakeholders to accomplish common goals, including experience working with geographically distributed and culturally diverse colleagues.Capable of developing strategic plans to ensure successful implementation of action plans and objectives.
