Apple is looking for a Software engineer, with a balance of experience and curiosity about software development to join our Global Network Services (GNS) team supporting our infrastructure around the globe. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Proficient with various programming languages such as Clojure/Go/Java/Python Sophisticated proficiency in at least one language Strong software engineering background with experience in building/maintaining RESTful APIs Strong experience with Linux system administration Deep experience with application containerization technologies (Docker, Kube) Solid understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, TLS, HTTP, UDP,DNS) Working knowledge of Network operating systems (i.e. Junos, IOS, EOS) a plus Description Description You will work closely with global team members to develop tools/solutions for our Engineering and Operations teams for continual improvement toward our key operational metrics of reliability/visibility and efficiency of the Apple backbone network. This individual will need to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment, collaborating closely with our network teams, as well as cross-functionally with external groups to deliver turn-key solutions in order to reach this goal. Due to the nature of our customer, foundational network technology knowledge will be a key skill for the ideal candidate to possess. Education & Experience Education & Experience BS or MS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent practical experience is preferred Additional Requirements Additional Requirements Pay & Benefits Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $170,700.00 and $300,200.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
