Join the team and create the future of customer experience together.Genesys is seeking a self-motivated Director of Technical Revenue Accounting to manage the coordination of our technical analysis and development of processes to ensure compliance with ASC606.The Director of Technical Revenue Accounting will engage with the business to provide revenue recognition compliant solutions including oversight of large contract review, non-standard sales deals, evaluation and development of new product contract structure and supporting the development of reporting solutions for our internal stakeholders.This role requires both technical accounting and strong interpersonal skills to partner closely with Revenue Operations, IT, FP&A, Legal, External Reporting, Sales and other teams across the company.Responsibilities:Evaluation of the revenue accounting for current and contemplated contractual arrangements under ASC 606Provide thought leadership, guidance, and strategy on technical revenue recognition matters impacting the business; providing guidance to team members and other cross functional teams on how to apply revenue recognition guidelines for SaaS and on-premises offerings.Develop and enhance processes and controls around revenue related financial metrics.Contribute to the development of accounting solutions for enterprise projects, new product offerings and process simplification and improvements.Work closely with members of accounting, legal, Deals Desk, FP&A, and Order Management.Ownership of maintenance and enhancement of revenue accounting policies for the CompanySupporting the preparation of revenue related financial statement footnotes and MD&A.Assist in managing internal and external audits over revenueAssist IT in the testing and deployment of applications that impact revenue recognitionAdminister and streamline use of RevPro, NetSuite and other information systems for revenue transactionsAssist in compliance with other external statutory reporting requirementsAd hoc special projectsRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or relevant fieldMinimum of 10 years relevant work experience with at least 6 years at a Big 4 accounting firm is a mustCPASubject matter expert in ASC 606SaaS/tech experience (preferred)Strong analytical skills and attention to detailExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalStrong multi-tasking skills and flexibility to switch from one project to the nextHighly collaborative with the ability to effectively manage cross-functional projects#LI-RemoteCompensation:This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below.
