As global trade regulations become increasingly meaningful, we are looking for an experienced trade professional to work with our engineering and product development teams to ensure seamless communication, improve our product roadmap, and plan for policy changes as well as help to set export compliance strategies.What you'll be doing:Reviewing and interpreting existing and upcoming U.S. Export Administration Regulations and non-U.S. regulations as they relate to product and technology controls for NVIDIA’s GPUs, CPUs, boards, systems and networking products, as well as related software and technologyResponding to regulator inquiries and questions regarding export controls, technology, and our productsServing as the primary GTC contact for Engineering, Research and Development and outside counsel to evaluate technical characteristics of new and existing NVIDIA product lines to determine appropriate export classification, including commodity classification requests (CCATs)Providing technical leadership and support to GTC team to identify classifications and licensing requirements for customers, suppliers and employeesCollaborating across multiple functions including engineering, legal and government affairsProviding any additional technical support needed, including for international licensing requirementsWhat we need to see:Broad knowledge of export laws and regulations and best practices of export controls and sanctions of the US, Wassenaar and other countries laws, regulations, and standard processesRegulations include the US Department of Commerce’s Export Administration RegulationsProven experience in export classificationsStrong analytical skills, including the ability to manage data from multiple sources and interpret requirements and regulationsAbility to develop positive relationships across NVIDIA, including within corporate functions, business teams and external sources including various government officialsCommunicate efficiently and effectively, conveying information clearly, accurately verbally and in written materials, in small or large groupsCollaborate with multiple teams and business groups to develop and implement creative solutionsMinimum overall 15 years’ experience with US export controls and additional experience with Wassenaar and other government’s export controls. 7 years Leadership experienceKnowledge of US export control regulations, including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and Wassenaar Arrangement Regulations, especially Categories 3, 4 and 5 (Part I and II) of the CCL and ITAR knowledgeFamiliarity with advanced level of classification concepts (ECCNs, CCATS, EAR, Licensing Jurisdiction Determination, Export Licenses, Encryption and Wassenaar, etc.)Degree in engineering, computer science, and/or business (or equivalent experience)Ways to stand out from the crowd:Master's or law degree or equivalent experienceWorking knowledge / experience in telecommunications, information security, cryptography, electronics, integrated circuits or computer export controlsExperience with import and Customs, as well as classifications in non-US jurisdictionMembership in ISTAC or another a U.S. Government Technical Advisory Committee or ability to gain membershipNVIDIA is widely considered to be one of the technology world’s most desirable employers. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
