They are expected to build strong partnerships with all major functions and consult on strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, and capital investments.ResponsibilitiesSupport capital investment decisions by gathering and modeling assumptions to underwrite business case factsPerform various analyses required by the Americas Corporate Development team in capital investment decision makingResponsible for preparing supporting materials for investment approval process and capital investment prioritizationReviews work of more junior team members and provides coachingDrives communication with internal departments (Design & Construction, Commercial Finance, etc.) to coordinate analysis and validate dataComfortable working with and respectfully challenging senior level team representatives to retrieve quality data inputsAssist with identification, evaluation and implementation of opportunities that impact business performance, such as cost and capital optimization programs and business process improvement programsResponsible for the analysis and summary of planned expansion projects, capacity trends, and capital forecasts producing insights via verbal and written platforms in support of overall corporate financial planning goalsSupport ad hoc projects as assignedHelps host and chair cross functional team meetings working to achieve alignmentSupports efforts on internal consulting projects focused on new markets/products, growth initiatives or profitability improvementsEffectively maintains and utilizes relationships with key stakeholders throughout the companyQualificationsBachelor's degree required5+ years of corporate finance, investment banking, or investment experience requiredExperience in data center sector a plusSkills and AttributesHigh proficiency in Excel and PowerPointDemonstrated critical thinking, use of judgment and independent decision makingHighly disciplined and organized with an analytical mindsetDisplays sense of urgency with deadlines and drives objectives navigating the cross-functional team through challengesEquinix is committed to ensuring that our employment process is open to all individuals, including those with a disability. If you are a qualified candidate and need assistance or an accommodation, please let us know by completing this form.Equinix is an Equal Employment Opportunity and, in the U.S., an Affirmative Action employer.
