This position will be primarily based from our office in Bangalore, India.Job DescriptionManage various indirect tax aspects of our global businesses with a focus on APACDeliver timely and accurate indirect tax advice to business unitsAdvise on intercompany relationships and transactionsManage the indirect tax aspects of new APAC regulations and new country expansionsSupport VAT auditsCollaborate and coordinate with various business resources, other tax functions, and external tax advisersLiaise with finance / shared services in support of issues identified during indirect tax compliance processLiaise with finance and accounting for tax reserve planning and managementManage and participate in development of software solutions for indirect tax automationImplement, review and optimize SAP processes dealing with indirect taxes and reportingAssist with developing training material to be deployed to key functions within the businessCoordinate with third party advisors, as required, who may assist in managing all or some of the aboveJob requirements:Experience with indirect tax compliance and audits in APACKnowledge of GST & VAT in APACFamiliarity with the indirect taxation trends of the digital economyKnowledge of e-invoicing and e-reporting in APACFamiliarity and experience with global VAT systems desiredExperience with indirect taxes pertaining to financial services desiredUp-to-date on current VAT practices and technical issuesStrong project management and organization skillsCapable of working independently while acting as part of a global tax teamCapable of leading tax projects with cross-functional dependenciesWorking experience in multinational environmentsConfidence, poise, and diplomacy when interacting with all levels of management, external consultants, and tax authoritiesAbility to articulate complex concepts in a concise manner in both written and verbal presentationsDemonstrated passion and track record of delivering results in a rapidly changing business environmentStrong customer focus; good listening and problem resolution skillsA great sense of accuracyStrong issue identification and mitigation skillsBasic Qualifications:Currently holds a similar position or is an Indirect Tax Senior Analyst/Manager at an accounting firm6-10 years of indirect tax experienceFluent in English - other languages helpfulBachelor's degree or equivalent experience with an emphasis in Tax, Legal, or Accounting; advanced degree is helpfulPlease see the Talent Privacy Notice for information regarding how eBay handles your personal data collected when you use the eBay Careers website or apply for a job with eBay.eBay is an equal opportunity employer.
