This team is a comprehensive, horizontal design team that spans taste-making, strategy, visual, experience, content, and motion design. Our main focus is evolving our product and brand experiences to a higher level of consistency and innovation for our current and future eBay customers.We are seeking a highly skilled Motion Designer to join our Brand Design team at eBay, where you will play a pivotal leadership role in crafting and evolving the motion system within the new Global Brand Platform. Your expertise in motion design within the brand, marketing and product world will be instrumental in ensuring our brand not only shows up in a modern, intentional and authentic way, but is crafted impeccably, helping define a world class experience.As a Sr. Staff Motion Designer, you will collaborate with leadership, brand designers, and partners to build a large variety of video and motion content, telling the eBay story to both internal and external audiences, globally. You will help to define and drive the future state of our motion design language working across all domain experiences, bringing our design system, Evo, to life through immersive and captivating moments. Your key responsibilities will be in creating brand-building videos, providing intent and execution of our motion guidelines, and creating product stories through motion and video that help change the way people think about eBay. You are an authority motion designer, but are always looking to learn and expand on the medium in a variety of ways. You are someone who uses motion in creative and strategic ways to translate business needs into fantastic customer-focused solutions. You must be responsive, flexible, and able to succeed within an open and collaborative peer environment, and are excited to take on the big challenges. The ideal candidate for this position will be at ease visualizing an experience in the abstract and then being able to drive that vision into proven design results.What You Will Accomplish:Build the vision for crafting unique and compelling motion design for eBayDrive the development and communication of motion design guidelines, collaborating with our internal partners and external vendors to ensure accurate usageDrive the development of all motion deliverables from conception to implementationCollaborate with brand, design systems and design technology teams to ensure storytelling of our experiences is on brand, and crafted to deliver on the product and brand objectivesImpeccable, world-class execution across all motion deliverablesInterest in motion beyond marketing and 3D experience is a nice to haveWhat You Will Bring:Bachelor’s degree in Motion Design or related design field and 10+ years professional experience as a motion designer; expertise in both motion and visual designExperience with design and prototyping tools such as After Effects and C4DExperience with character animation, designing for brand and design systemsExperience crafting mobile web, and/or on-device mobile applicationsDemonstrated experience selling concept to execution to leadershipExperience working in a highly iterative, collaborative environment where people share work daily, and comfortable working in a fast paced environment#LI-HybridThe pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York is expected in the range below.$168,400 - $262,900Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
