Using a data-driven approach, the team identifies and executes on opportunities to accelerate commerce on the multi-billion dollar eBay.com platform while simultaneously innovating and simplifying the experience for our customers.The role of the Product Specialist in Monetization is to review the landscape of eBay seller profiles that both currently and can participate at eBay's seller initiatives. The team member will define personas and demographics of sellers, how they currently interact with us, and which mechanisms would be impactful to drive the experience for sellers on eBay. This individual will work cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Seller Engagement, and Customer Service, managing the complete program and ensuring the deliverables are clear and meaningful.What will you accomplish:Execute a comprehensive seller landscape identification project to determine what kinds of sellers participate in eBay seller promotions, how they receive notification of these, what offers they find compelling, what kinds of sellers (consumer, business, business size), and what other ways would they like to communicate and learn about offers.Conduct market research to identify how eBay seller promotions are situated relative to other US marketplaces.Partner with the social media team to identify how different cohorts of sellers can be engaged with.Develop and send a survey to obtain additional data from sellers currently using promotions to understand how these currently affect behavior and what else might be meaningful to them.  Interview sellers both virtually, via phone, and in person to collect feedback and anecdotes about their current eBay business and why they do or do not engage with promotionsComplete a set of personas and recommendations to drive improvement in the business.What will you bring:Experience with a detailed project process for execution, such as marketing campaign operational set-up, fulfillment processes, or marketing email deployment system.Extremely detail-orientated and organized, with proven success in managing programs in a cross-functional team environment.Highly skilled in managing multiple work streams and projects with a fine eye for detail, quality, and deadlines.Embodies the work ethic and personality that thrives in a fast-paced culture with tight deadlines, shifting priorities, and matrix-managed responsibilities.Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.Willingness to reach out to sellers and proactively conduct interviewsEagerness to learn fast with strong creative problem-solving skills and a can-do attitude.The energy, motivation and commitment to drive for results in a challenging, ever-changing environment.Passion for the customer, innovation, and operational excellence.Required Experience:BA/BS required, MBA / Master’s degree a plus1-3 years of experience in marketing project management, preferably an ecommerce, consumer internet, or retail companyMust be able to handle multiple priorities in an organized manner with attention to detail and strong problem solving skills.A passion for eBay and the customer base, either existing or nascent.The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York is expected in the range below.$73,600 - $114,400Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
