Pre-Sales Technical Consultant (Channels)Description -Channel Pre-Sales Technical Consultants at HP|Poly provide technical strategy and overall leadership for pre-sales System Engineering (SE) across the HP|Poly Partner Eco System. Our ideal candidate ensures that technical expertise is provided to drive overall sales targets through new and existing distribution, direct and indirect VARs across the Americas partnering with Partner Business Managers and direct touch selling teams alike.     Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Ensure effective technical coverage of and for HP|Poly Value Added Resellers (VARs) Develop Partners’ SE/DE skills to meet current and emerging channel sales opportunities. Deliver in person and virtual training to HP|Poly Partners, pertaining to Solution Design, Product Innovations, Competitive Differentiators and Solution Based Selling Establish strategic plans and objectives in conjunction with the HP|Poly Channel Business Manager and HP|Poly Channel Sales leadership.  Partner with multiple groups within HP|Poly to promote collaboration and information flow. Decisive decision maker with a serious impact on the overall success of revenue increases with HP|Poly partners  Drive and deliver Channel enablement programs such as (but not limited to): HP|Poly Badged, training, sales, implementation, and services certification. Will be required to demonstrate HP|Poly Solutions capabilities, often requiring rapid prototyping and/or product demo for channel & end user client(s) Frequent travel to our partner(s) locations, often delivering front of room technical training. Training sessions also incorporate delivery via Video Collaboration (e.g. Zoom, Teams, etc.)  Account Support Accepts & manage assignments, load balancing, and continuity for the HP|Poly partners & territories assigned.  Strategic planning and execution with Channel Business managers, direct touch reps and SEs Partner Meetings – Sales calls, relationship building, and problem resolution. Work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of the company, products, and solutions.  Participate in corporate development of methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and people.  Develop and deliver presentations for and with strategic partners.  Supplemental resource acquisition including equipment evaluation, executive engagement, technology specialists and solutions management. Executive briefing planning Trouble ticket escalations Collaborate with Channel Business Managers (CBM) on revenue goals and strategic planning. Support events as needed.  Partner Development Interact regularly with various entities within a partner’s and/or major customers.  Interactions frequently involve special skills, such as negotiating with customers or management or attempting to influence senior level leaders regarding matters of significance to the organization.  Partner SE Mentoring - technical and professional skills Assess skill sets, identify gaps, and coordinate training as needed for the team. Coordinate new product/emerging solutions training for partners.  Manage recruitment, retention, development of emerging partners.  Internal Collaboration Establish relationships with the Business Units, HP|Poly Global Services (PGS), IT, Marketing, HP|Poly high touch sales organization, etc. to ensure effective information flow. Collaborate as needed with other departments to develop and improve processes that support sales efforts. Align with company and organizational goals and execute appropriately.   Job Requirements  Successful candidates for this role will possess many of the following:  7 or more years of customer-facing Pre-Sales Engineering experience in a mixture of networking, network applications and major Partner or End User account development. Technical Prowess of Complex Audio Video Integration, including Sound Re-Enforcement, Room Control, Rest API and associated / complementary technologies. Demonstrable/considerable experience in Unified Communications, voice/video experience. CTS Certification is desirable. Strong knowledge of XaaS, Security, Networking and similar solutions in market Experience working with Channel Sales and routes to market preferred.  Proven expertise (demonstrated mentorship; motivation and management, optimizing the performance of others, delegation of tasks, developing a sense of ownership, responsibility, and motivation) Vision - sense of direction, championing HP|Poly's strategies and plans Demonstrated business skills and knowledge including basic knowledge of financial processes and common business terminology and practices. Experienced in the consultative approach to coaching and selling as a trusted advisor. Excellent communication skills Strong influencing and project management skills Commercial awareness of HP|Poly’s processes and common business practices Excellent partner focus and adaptability Autonomous/Self-Starter: Plans, Initiates and Executes Partner Enablement activities without having to be directed. Travel > 40% may be involved.  Above all else: having fun and doing what you love to do!  Job -SalesSchedule -Full timeShift -No shift premium (United States of America)Travel -Relocation -Equal Opportunity Employer (EEO) - HP, Inc. provides equal employment opportunity to all employees and prospective employees, without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, ancestry, citizenship, sexual orientation, age, disability, or status as a protected veteran, marital status, familial status, physical or mental disability, medical condition, pregnancy, genetic predisposition or carrier status, uniformed service status, political affiliation or any other characteristic protected by applicable national, federal, state, and local law(s).Please be assured that you will not be subject to any adverse treatment if you choose to disclose the information requested.
