As a member of this team you'll work with exceptionally innovative and experienced engineers that have built highly robust, performant and scalable services.About the RoleWe are seeking a Software Developer in Test to help us build the and scale the Core Platform. The ideal candidate is someone passionate about testing standard methodologies and enjoys working with backend technologies, with a sense of observability, monitoring and analysis of functional changes in customer environments. You thrive in breaking the system before a customer does.In this role, you will :Diagnose problems and report bugs and improvements to DevelopmentBuild test methodology and test data set-up for configurations, business and transactional processing, web services and reportingMaintain, support, and improve existing test framework/testing infrastructureWrite automation tests to improve and support code quality in the context of a CI/CD environmentCollaborate with other teams to align on tooling and effective distribution of testing scope among teamsThink creatively and consider issues from a customer perspective, while bringing a pragmatic approach to solving issuesAs a part of an agile development team, work with fellow engineers of various subject areas, product managers and automation engineers to deliver privacy platform improvements to support Workday application developmentAbout YouBasic Qualifications4 Years of proven experience in a modern programming language such as Java, Kotlin.4 Years of experience in functional end-to-end workflow testing, including test planning and execution.4 Years of proven experience working with development and QA as SDET test or automation engineer.Other QualificationsBachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.Ability to work independently and with multi-functional teams in different locations/time zonesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsConsistent track record of working in multi-functional teams and agile delivery.High degree of attention to detail, with an eagerness for bug-hunting, and problem-solvingExperience with monitoring systems, metrics gathering or system health observability.Experience with Java build tools such as Ant, Maven, Gerrit, Gradle, etc.Experience with CI/CD pipelines, tools like Bamboo or Jenkins and code revision tool like Git.Experience in Unix/Linux environment and scripting.Workday Pay Transparency StatementThe annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below.  Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
