Job Requisition ID #24WD78027Position OverviewAutodesk's Entertainment and Media Solutions (EMS) group creates award-winning desktop and cloud software for the media and entertainment industries, used for 3d modeling, animation, rendering, VFX, film finishing, production management, and more.EMS' Experience Design (XD) team is hiring an Experience Design Architect who will report to our Director of Experience Design, Standards. The goal of our Experience Design Standards team is to drive design impact, collaborating with the XD teams to produce the design artefacts to help us scale and deliver consistent, efficient, and productive user experiences.As an Experience Design Architect, you'll help us define experience visions and strategic frameworks, systems, and models to create connected and scalable customer experiences across our EMS products and third-party film and games applications. You will require a strategic, platform mindset and ability to collaborate with and influence product teams.When applying please include your resume and updated portfolio with password.ResponsibilitiesCreate artefacts to tell the story of how EMS products work together and independently with a cloud-first approach to product designBuild trusted relationships with XD, Product, and Engineering Architect teams across AutodeskCreate, communicate, and implement an experience vision that describes long-term goals for Autodesk's Media and Entertainment product ecosystemFacilitate brainstorming sessions, attend design reviews, and work with the application during development to provide feedbackMaintain active contact with users through field research, interviews, and user conferencesStay up to date on UI trends, emerging technologies, and competitor innovations while tracking internal product design advancements through regular interaction with cross-functional teamsContribute to the design architect community across Autodesk to drive best practices and state of the art techniques to large scale SaaS Platform designMinimum Qualifications12+ years' experience defining large-scale cloud-first product experience ecosystemsExperience in building and creating influential relationships within and across product groupsExperience working with and designing APIs, designing complex experiences such as permissions management and administration toolsExperience driving and explaining a design vision that aligns to customer and our business prioritiesExperience creating high-level user experience flows and design conceptsExpert written, presentation, and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to communicate complex systems design into intuitive stories at a level appropriate to the audience (customers, staff, peers, senior management, executives)Ability to act independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments. For Canada-BC based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $136,000 and $187,000. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
