Are you a business analyst that wants to make a broad impact? Are you interested in how data can be transformed into relevant and actionable insights? Business Insights Services partners directly with Calix customers to leverage their business data to address specific questions or solve unique business challenges. The BIS Specialist will identify, design, and implement internal process improvements, automate manual processes, optimize data delivery, and re-design infrastructure for greater scalability. You will be instrumental in supporting our Business Insights Services team by bridging Engagement and Analytics, building a strong foundation for both sides to execute successful consultations with senior leadership audiences for our most valued customers.Responsibilities and Duties:Act as a bridge between the Engagement and Analytics teams within BIS to evolve and deliver defined Business Insights engagements Support our engagement model by transforming data, including cleaning, merging, ordering, and aggregating to be used for customer consultationsPerform sentiment analysis on open-ended survey comments, including comment categorization and sentiment scoring using natural language processing technologyDocument best practices in data wrangling, privacy compliance, and user trainingMaintain data dictionaries to document relational databases and extracted dataCreate data tools for analytics team members that assist them in building and optimizing our services into an innovative industry leaderProvide recommendations on technical design and data requirements for our expanding solutions catalogContinuously improve our data wrangling processes and adopt relevant new technologyUtilize project management tool to keep project details clearly documented and Account teams informed throughout the engagement process.Support BIS Engagement Leads in delivering each customer project, from Discovery to Delivery, ensuring a seamless and high-quality experience for our BSP partners. Assist with analyzing data visualizations to pull out key insights and craft recommendations into Action Plans that serve as a guide for customers to transform their business.Participate in broader support of the Customer Community through authoring Best Practice articles and videos, collaborating with Marketing to create compelling Customer Case Studies and contribute to the digital Customer Community. Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Marketing/Consumer Research, a technical field, or comparable work experience requiredFamiliar with client reporting tools such as Excel, Power BI, or similar tools with a base understanding of SQLAbility to translate complex needs into appropriate solutions while remaining sensitive to the complexities of the business Knowledge of data models, algorithms, and statistical analysis techniquesEffective planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsDetail-oriented, self-motivated, excellent communicator, strong analytical and technical orientation with a “design thinking” approach to solving problemsAbility to work well within a team and collaborate with external groupsDetail-oriented project manager with a proactive approach to solving problems and an eye for the bigger strategic picture and goals.Demonstrated ability to think strategically, execute tactically while providing consistent and high levels of customer satisfaction and retention in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills combined with the ability to establish meaningful relationships with a broad range of stakeholders. Well organized and proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.). Broad business knowledge of the broadband industry. (preferred) Experience with Calix products (preferred)Driver’s license required< 10% Travel requiredLocation: Remote-based position located in the United States or Canada.#LI-RemoteCompensation will vary based on geographical location (see below) within the United States.
