The scope of our charter includes Risk Management Strategy, Policy, Risk Science, and Policy Operations.We are looking for a strong engineering leader who will manage a hard-working team and who will bring in clarity to the team, who can effectively collaborate with partners, who will build positive energy and who can help unblock. We are looking for the following responsibilities and qualifications.Required Skills and Experience:Master’s degree in computer science or related field, PhD preferred.10+ years of software and data engineering experience handling large data sets3+ years of experience managing hard-working teams of various sizes Extensive experience with the Hadoop ecosystem: HDFS, Spark, Hive, Spark SQL, etc. and Python programming.Demonstrated proficiency to design and deploy high performance systems in a Hadoop environment with reliable monitoring and logging practices.Experience orchestrating large work flows and batch jobs for data science projects using Airflow or other similar systemsExperience using cloud technologies, container-based service, especially Kubernetes.Experience implementing enterprise AI or ML applications through MLOps from exploration to serving.Knowledge about machine learning platform, ML infrastructure and ML model (fraud detection) development lifecycle.Familiarity with ML frameworks, tools, and librariesBasic Qualifications:A keen strategic and analytical thinker with the ability to put complex ideas into clear frameworks, and use data to drive innovation.Provide technical knowledge and thought leadership to the broad analytic community in the area of expertise.Strong organizational and communication skills, especially as relates to the documentation of project planning, execution and collaboration.Embodies the work ethic and personality that thrives in a fast-paced culture with tight deadlines and shifting priorities.High level of independence and proficiency in breaking down problems into their essential elements, carrying out a diagnosis and developing a solution.Continuously seeks out improvement and innovation opportunities in engineering technologies that have immediate and meaningful impact on business.Collaborates with peers across the broad organization on ideation and innovation.Has the ability to identify and involve the right resources to accomplish projects. Knows when and where to get data and how to apply scientific and academic expertise to decisionsThe pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York is expected in the range below.$149,200 - $234,850Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
