Reporting to our Senior Manager of Engineering, you'll develop prototype cloud solutions for strategic research projects, demonstrating innovations for Autodesk products. You'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of scientists, engineers, and domain experts in manufacturing, robotics, architecture, computer vision, machine learning, and generative design. You'll help us design and implement new systems, maintain and enhance existing systems. You'll also advise others on decisions related to technologies you are familiar with.As a member of Research Engineering, you'll play an important role shepherding "what-if" ideas into tangible proof of concept demonstrations and prototypes. You would also identify common technology needs within Autodesk Research and plan solutions to meet them. Autodesk Research is a hotbed of rapidly evolving projects, experimenting with cutting edge technologies, and delivers solutions with real-world benefits for our customers and society. Research Engineering is a supportive, international team of experienced developers, UX designers and QA specialists.This position is based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with scientists and software engineers in Autodesk Research to develop prototype cloud solutions demonstrating innovationWork closely with our enterprise solutions team to ensure cloud deployments are aligned with corporate security and trust best practicesMaintain a productive relationship with our platform development team and ensure our prototype cloud solutions leverage Autodesk's platformCapture and document successful platform integrations and highlight opportunities to improve the platform based on research prototypesMinimum QualificationsExperience devising suitable system architectures for full stack cloud solutionsExperience with AWS solutions for cloud solution development and deployment (cloud devops, security, etc.)Experience working in a research & development context, working on novel solutions5+ years of experience experience developing commercial software solutions (ideally in computer software or hi-tech industry)University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related#LI-Hybrid#LI-CD2Learn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk!
