Our teams project manager will play a critical role as part of a Product Team, partnering with Product and Engineering leads across multiple teams and organization. The Program team members lead high value, mission-critical, and global projects that achieve new value and help Autodesk succeed. We're looking for an experienced Project Manager. You will be at the center of an exciting space with changing technology and capabilities.We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director to lead the next phase of our Technical Program Management team. This role is critical to define our next generation of delivery standards, partnering with Product Operations, Delivery Excellence, and senior leaders across Autodesk to elevate our delivery to a more iterative framework based on metrics and predictability that improves our value delivery. Reporting into the Director of Product & Program Operations, you will help oversee the successful execution of our technical program, ensuring agreement on strategic goals, and improving project management processes and methodologies. You will also help to define and lead our quarterly cycles for strategic interlocks, horizon planning, and release planning.REMOTE WORK, US-CANADAResponsibilitiesEstablish and maintain the Project Management Office (PMO) framework and procedures to ensure consistent project delivery across the organizationLead a team of project managers and provide guidance, mentoring, and support to ensure successful project executionDevelop and implement project management standards, methodologies, and best practices to optimize project delivery efficiency and effectivenessCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business goals and client requirementsOversee project portfolio management, including prioritization, resource allocation, and risk management, to improve project outcomes and maximize return on investmentDrive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management processes, tools, and capabilities, fostering a culture of innovation and excellenceProvide regular reporting and communication on project status, milestones, and key performance indicators to stakeholders at all levelsManage relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, executives, and external partners, to ensure agreement and support for project objectivesMinimum QualificationsMinimum of 8 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years of experience in a leadership role within a software development or IT environmentProven track record of successfully managing a portfolio of complex software projects from initiation to completion across a wide range of product domainsStrong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve their full potentialIn-depth knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques, such as Agile, Scrum, SAFe, and KanbanExcellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of the organizationThe Ideal CandidateDeep experience in driving mission critical strategic initiatives across organizations at scaleStrong communication skills, written and presentation, to VP and C-Suite audiencesInfluence without authority across organizations and diverse partnersDirect team management of a Program Management function or similarStrong experience in the Product Operating Model and Agile delivery practicesQuickly pivot to address urgent issues and maintain progress on several critical issues at the same timeBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field preferredLearn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk! For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $166,300 and $269,060. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
