You will become a member of the wider Finance team at Apple. With over 300 employees from a multitude of backgrounds, the Finance department in Cork supports all functions of Apple in EMEIA, including Sales Fulfilment, Logistics, Manufacturing and Operations, Apple Music, Apple Retail as well as the Global Business Solutions (GBS) function. This is a key role in a dynamic environment with the potential for the role to develop further with additional responsibilities per business requirements. Your role is part of our Record to Report Accounting Hub team. This team support functions such as Revenue, Treasury, Copyright, Inventory and Intercompany. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Qualified/Part Qualified accountant Skilled in process mapping with a desire to analyse current processes with a view to develop efficiencies while keeping compliance to the forefront Ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions SAP S4 Hana/RAR/Tableau/Dataiku knowledge highly desirable Excellent teammate who enjoys working in a fast pace environment Strong analytical and problem solving skills with an ability to identify areas for alignment with other regional GBS teams Mature, responsible, driven and able to work independently with minimal direct supervisions Proven track record of engaging and communicating across an organisation and with external partners Ability to adapt to changing business priorities and timelines Description Description You'll become a subject matter expert for revenue across all Apple entities, understanding various revenue streams of all entities as well as the associated accounting treatment Responsible for preparation of local GAAP revenue disclosures Support in the development of key revenue metrics and reports and reporting to management Support reporting and reconciliations via various systems such as GBI, Tableau, SAP PD2 and Hana. Help to develop global revenue processes, driving efficiencies through innovative ideas Ensuring financial data is recorded in accordance with established company policies and Local GAAP and ensuring SOX controls compliance A key aspect to this role is to develop relationships and work closely with business partners to contribute within the revenue and broader R2R accounting function Responsible for UAT of new projects as they launch, to ensure revenue compliance and accounting flows are in line with local and US GAAP standards Develop and implement effective task prioritisation strategies to ensure urgent ad-hoc tasks are delivered on time while ensuring compliance Education & Experience Education & Experience Relevant degree Qualified/Part Qualified accountant Additional Requirements Additional Requirements
