Overview:The Sr Software Engineer will be part of a team of highly skilled engineers who develop and support Network pipelines for Product deployment and operations in Azure. The Team and Scope of this role:The SaaS Automation team helps build the next generation of BY Supply Chain SaaS applications; these applications are being built from the ground up to take advantage of current and emerging technologies and practices.The Sr Software engineer will be a senior developer on the Build Automation team implementing services to support deployment and operations for mission critical services.The team serves as a liaison between the SaaS Operations/Build Automation and Product Development teams.Our current technical environment:Software/Tools: Python, Groovy, GitHub, Jenkins, GitHub, Codacy, Azure, Bash scripting etc.Application Architecture: Scalable, Resilient, event driven, secure multi-tenant Microservices architectureCloud Architecture: MS Azure (ARM templates, AKS, Virtue Networks, Event Hub, Azure AD), Application gateway, Azure Firewall, Azure Traffic ManagerFrameworks/Others: KubernetesWhat you’ll do:Automate Network deployment for infrastructure as a Service \ and product deployment in AzureChampion best practices for product and related infrastructure deployment, ensuring quality and streamlined support of the deployed software and related operational infrastructure.Ensure adherence to quality standards and processes.Identify and implement process improvements.Work collaboratively with automaton teams to understand requirements to create and deploy network solutions in Azure and other critical projectsTroubleshoot and resolve issues in our dev, test, and production environments.Update system and process documentation and user guides as needed Create Python scripts. Develop validation and testing frameworks for deployments to ensure correct configuration.Inspire fellow engineers to become better at their craft and gives practical advice on writing cleaner code and effective tests.Drives architecture and designs to become simpler, more robust, and more efficient.Continuously extends their technological knowledge.Software/Tools/Technology: Python, Groovy, GitHub, Jenkins, GitHub, Codacy, Azure, Bash scripting etc.Remain current with agile development methodologies as implemented in Blue YonderWhat we are looking for: Bachelor’s degree (STEM preferred) and minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in Software development; integration with a range of technologies related to delivery of highly automated solutions.Experience with cloud infrastructure such as Azure or other public Cloud experience.Working knowledge of networking concepts (DNS, subnets, load balancers, firewalls), Azure, and TerraformWorking knowledge of Application gateway, Azure Firewall, Azure Traffic ManagerAt least 3+ years of hands-on experience working with Python Expertise Bash, Python or Groovy or JavaProficient in GitHub Actions, or other continuous integration softwareUnderstanding of code versioning tools such as Git Working knowledge of quality tooling and automation frameworksExcellent team player and work with go-get attitudeShould have good communication skill and effectively work with stakeholders and team as wellStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Our ValuesIf you want to know the heart of a company, take a look at their values.
