Job Requisition ID #24WD77504Position OverviewThe Business Strategy Manager role leads the definition and development of the business & go-to-market strategy for Fusion with a focus on vertical industries within manufacturing. As a Business Strategy Manager, you will partner with product management, market development, business intelligence, and go-to-market (GTM) teams to understand the industry strategy and investments needed to deliver business growth and value to our subscribers. Doing this requires a passion for both business and the manufacturing industry/technology. This is a visible role within the organization and will often require working with senior leadership teams. This position will report to the Director of Business Strategy of Manufacturing.ResponsibilitiesDevelop multi-year plans that convey the business vision and industry strategy for Fusion in manufacturingCreate business cases to drive internal investments, partnerships, and mergers & acquisitionsEvaluate, challenge, and adjust strategic go-to-market plans, including pricing & product packaging, to meet evolving business and market requirementsWork with key customers and industry groups to identify market opportunities and gaps to be addressed to add value to customersConduct internal and external research on the market, competitors, and customer personasMonitor existing business performance and make recommendations based on insightsMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in an engineering, business or equivalent field experience5+ years of experience in the manufacturing industry and knowledge of either Factory Layout / Discrete Event Simulation or CAM (computer-aided manufacturing) softwareDevelop go-to-market plans in a multi-channel sales organizationBe able to guide projects forward within a large organization with globally distributed teamsPreferred QualificationsKnowledge of SaaS business and technologyAdvanced degree or experience in a strategic capacity as part of either strategy, go-to-market, product management, business development or related roles within the software or high-tech industryExcellent interpersonal skills required in order to build success in a matrix management organizationProven ability to lead and influence as part of a geographically dispersed global organizationUp to 15% travel may be required#LI-KH1Learn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk! For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $121,800 and $197,120. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
