Acts as a functional manager within area of expertise but does not manage other employees as a primary job function.ResponsibilitiesManages and leads key programs involving multiple functions and program teams to drive Retail Services Solutions development and implements processes across multiple work streams.Directs the development of overall program strategy, budgets, resource allocation plans, and general program requirements for the Retail Services Solutions team.Manages activities of supporting program teams and internal partners; ensures alignment with unit strategy and owns responsibility for overall program success measures.Communicates program progress, escalations, and issue analysis to stakeholders of Director level or above; collaborates between business unit, Sales, Supply Chain, and other internal partners to recommend and implement changes to products, processes, or business practices to drive continuous improvement and manage solutions.Drives innovation and integration of new technologies, quality initiatives, and process improvements into projects and activities within the Services organization.Reviews and evaluates program plans and guidelines for compliance with program management guidelines and standards; provides tangible feedback to improve overall program management quality and results for the organization.Leads and provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members to set an example of program management innovation and excellence.Education & Experience Recommended• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.• Typically has 10+ years of work experience, preferably in project management, HP Services business units and with global projects, or a related field.Preferred Certifications• Project Management Professional (PMP) - 10+ years experience preferredKnowledge & SkillsExperience in driving projects and process improvements through the use of program planning tools and software packages to create, manage, and track project results.Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.Demonstrated business acumen, understanding of Supply Chain and Field & Channel organizational strategy, and successful experience managing all aspects of cross- business unit programs, including communicating with internal and external stakeholders and directing matrixed teams and resources.History of innovation with examples of developing new ideas or activities through the use of cross-organizational partnerships.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to effectively communicate program management architectures, plans, proposals, and results.Ability to explain and negotiate options at the Executive Level.Cross-Org Skills• Effective Communication• Results Orientation• Learning Agility• Digital Fluency• Customer CentricityImpact & Scope• Impacts large functions and leads large, cross-division functional teams or projects.Complexity• Provides highly innovative solutions to complex problems within established policy.Disclaimer• This job description describes the general nature and level of work performed in this role.
