We are looking for a Recruiting Manager who will manage and develop Coursera’s regional APAC Technical recruiting team. Establishing a 3rd global development centre in India has been a strategic move for Coursera as it seeks to win in this region and expand its global reach. India has the second-largest learner base in Coursera. By opening a major development hub outside of the US and Canada, Coursera can tap into the talent pool in India and this presents a significant opportunity for Coursera to strengthen its product and engineering teams with top talent. Lastly, Coursera already has a business presence in India, and establishing a Tech development hub in the region will ensure 24/7 uptime for the business. Additionally, being closer to one of its major target markets, Coursera can build better products and deliver more value to its users.
In partnership with local leaders for our India Development Centre org, you will be responsible for planning and executing the recruiting strategies that ensure we are meeting our primary hiring objectives and managing senior level and niche roles.
Responsibilities:
Manage a lean and dynamic team, with a focus on skill development, hit quarterly hiring goals, and use data to guide your decision making.
Develop effective org level sourcing strategies for skills and diversity through internal channels and external partnerships.
Partner closely with internal teams to building sourcing and employer brand strategies in order to nurture proactive talent pipelines.
Hands on req management for niche/lateral hiring for Engineering/Product/Data science teams.
Reinforce team performance goals/metrics and timelines by leveraging readily available tools to measure and manage progress.
Assist team as an experienced negotiator with the ability to drive positive outcomes across all levels, domains.
Basic Qualifications:
8+ years of recruiting experience
1+ years direct people management experience
Experience managing a team and hands on req management for roles in Engineering, Product, Data Science etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in recruiting for functions within tech product, engineering & IT
Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
Experience working in global organisations.
Focus on developing/strengthening DEI strategy/WIT in the region
