You will be therefore exposed to matters ranging from Commercial, Public Procurement, Regulatory, IP, Compliance, Competition, Privacy and more.Why youYou are looking for the next challenge in your career as a lawyer in an In-house legal function. You will be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team and manage numerous matters and competing priorities effectively.You are professionally proficient in German and English and are able to grasp quickly and accurately new concepts and areas of law. A solid understanding of Commercial Law and Public Procurement gained through previous experience in Private Practice or In-house is desirable for this role.Your ResponsibilitiesProvide solid, pragmatic, and timely legal advice on commercial and public procurement matters, in line with the business priorities and the department objectivesDraft, review and negotiate a wide range of transactional agreements including commercial and in-bound agreements, evaluation agreements, and contracts for public tendersAnticipate and proactively support the prevention and management of legal risks including actively advising on transactional risks, such as reputational, and commercial risk and long-term commitments associated with compliance and other policy mattersSupport with legal research and project tasks for the benefit of the wider legal team and internal clientsManaging and advising on outbound and inbound commercial transactions and contractsSupport the commercial or wider legal team in day-to-day, high-value, and high-visibility matters.Required ExperienceA law degree and solid academic credentialsCurrent license to practice as a solicitor/lawyer in England & Wales, Netherlands, Germany, Austria or SwitzerlandProfessional proficiency in German and English is required, other foreign language skills preferred but not requiredA strong understanding of commercial law and some transactional experience is requiredWell organized and proactive. Logical and process-minded with a keen eye for detailExcellent communication skills and the ability to develop relationships with all parts of the businessPreferred BackgroundMinimum 2+ years relevant post qualification experience (i.e. minimum 2 years relevant experience after full qualification as a lawyer in the relevant jurisdiction) preferably in a multinational biotechnology, life sciences, or technology business and/or in a reputable private practice firm.LocationPossibility of onsite, hybrid or remote with an office location in the Netherlands (Eindhoven or Amsterdam), UK (Cambridge), Austria, Switzerland and/or Germany (Berlin).What can you expectOur team members are bright, energetic and dedicated - they are the driving force behind our innovation and impact.
