The ECAD Engineering Tools & Solutions Org is responsible for building outstanding workflows for board design at Apple. We develop new methods to analyze complex designs to enable the quality assessment of our products before manufacturing. We are seeking a CAD Engineer who will be proficient with system design software solutions like SysML and Cameo Systems Modeling tools for Systems Design and Workflow Development. Using detailed knowledge of the system design process, the individual will specify solutions to improve the efficiency and productivity of the Apple system design teams. The individual will be responsible for providing support to electrical engineers and PCB designers during the product design. In this highly transparent, multi-functional role, the Engineer will be responsible for developing best-in-class flows for the schematics and PCB design at Apple. They will be empowered to work with key product team members to identify problem areas, optimization opportunities and generate requirements. They will develop new methods to analyze complex designs to enable the assessment of their quality before manufacturing. Finally, they will have the ability to set the technical direction for multi-functional teams as you strategically plan and tactically implement company-wide solutions. Come join us! Key Qualifications Key Qualifications ~10 years of proven experience with Cameo Systems Modeler (aka MagicDraw, CATIA Magic) In-depth understanding of SysML Knowledge of constraints driven designs and workflows. Experience providing engineering instructions (creating user manuals, delivering trainings, on-the-job consulting, etc.) Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams and excellent interpersonal skills Good debugging skills Knowledge of Confluence is a plus Description Description Establishing SysML driven system level design workflow Providing guidance on using Cameo Systems Modeling tool Establishing and documenting Apple SysML workflows Providing guidance on Apple SysML workflows As per requirements, problem solving (if tool doesn't work after install, can't do something within a tool, tool crashes, data losses, etc.) Education & Experience Education & Experience BSEE required, MS or equivalent experience preferred Some experience with programming languages like Java, Ruby, Python, Perl or SQL Additional Requirements Additional Requirements Pay & Benefits Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $134,000.00 and $266,000.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
