Join us on a mission that matters - one team, one fight.About the Role:CrowdStrike is looking for a talented Test Automation Engineer to join our growing Production Systems Automation & Development team. As a Test Automation Engineer, you will be focused on the creation and refinement of tools to enhance the automations that deploy and manage CrowdStrike’s cloud-based infrastructure. This candidate will play a key role in architecting and implementing a stable, scalable and flexible production environment. One focus of this position will be to ensure that the team delivers code that is tuned for the scalability and survivability necessary in CrowdStrike’s expanding ecosystem.What You'll Do: Work within the engineering team to understand product architecture and functionality.Lead test automation strategies by creating, managing and executing test plans, writing test cases, and writing test scripts.Understand testing requirements and build/maintain test plans for functional, integration, and end-to-end testing coverage; identify coverage gaps and close them.Identify automation opportunities and perform bug reporting/triage.Provide accurate forecasts of testing resource & effort estimations for deliverables and releases.Establish quality culture, evangelize adoption of software quality best practices. Collaborate with the team to incorporate learnings into engineering practices and standards.Be an energetic self-starter with the ability to take ownership and be accountable for deliverables.Take an active role to own your personal workload and tasks. You are empowered to set your own pace and tell us what can be delivered (and when).Represent the development team as a technical leader both vertically and horizontally across workgroups.What You'll Need: Must be a United States citizen or permanent resident (clearance is not required).6+ years experience in a test automation engineering role.Deep understanding of software testing methodologies and practices, including experience with web application and API testing.Strong understanding of test automation frameworks and tools (Selenium, Cypress, Jenkins, etc).Experience with test and defect management tools.Experience working within a large-scale production environment and developing/troubleshooting applications across functional teams.Advanced troubleshooting skills, superb quality control habits, and passion for learning new systems and methodologies.Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to make good, timely decisions.Familiar with developing and using CI/CD pipelines and with creating and leveraging automated unit/acceptance tests. The base salary range for this position in the U.S. is $115,000 - $175,000 per year + variable/incentive compensation + equity + benefits.
