The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is a hunter at heart, and often Workiva’s first contact with a prospective customer. The SDR possesses the ability to quickly develop a rapport with influencers and decision makers at an executive level, and efficiently spark the curiosity that generates interest in our platform. In this position, the SDR partners closely with field sales to drive sales opportunities with both existing and potential new customers across the DACH region. SDRs accomplish this objective through a variety of strategies such as cold calling, email campaigns, social selling, conference calls, virtual meetings, onsite meetings and referralsWhat You’ll DoPartners closely with field sales to develop ongoing engagement strategy with assigned customer and prospect accounts to drive revenue goalsProvides baseline research and intelligence within target accounts to identify key contacts and critical account informationProspects into target accounts via cold calling, networking, email, e-marketing, campaigns, and social outreachQualifies leads and contacts based upon specifically defined criteria to transition meaningful sales leads into the pipelineMaintains active engagement with existing customers & non-customers to increase interest in additional Workiva solutionsMaintains good recordkeeping and documentation in Salesforce and CRM systemsDrives attendance to various events (webinar, conferences, etc.), and provide post-event follow upDevelops and maintains a current understanding of Workiva’s solutions and competitive product/ market knowledgeMeets or exceeds quarterly monthly or quarterly goals and metricsWhat You’ll NeedMinimum Qualifications 1+ years of related experience in a similar role - preferably in lead generation, sales development or sales prospectingPreferred QualificationsExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with a professional demeanorSelf-motivated with strong propensity for action, results and continuous improvementThe ability to work successfully in a high-energy, fast paced, rapidly changing environmentExceptional organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and manage multiple processes, programs, and procedures simultaneously Ability to maintain a high level of activity, and effectively manage competing prioritiesCapable of learning, developing, and integrating skills in an online training environmentExperience with CRM tools - ideally SalesforceProven success in meeting sales goals and metricsFluent in both German and English languageTravel Requirement & Working ConditionsUp to 10% travel for customer or team eventsReliable internet access for any period of time working remotelyWhere You’ll WorkOur values drive how we work and who we hire.
