Senior Electrical EngineerDescription -What a Senior Electrical Engineer does at HP:Lead a program and play a key role in system integration of developing printer’s hardware with leading edge ASIC, processor, memory and connectivity technologies for HP Laserjet printers.Drive root cause analysis and design engineering solutions for electrical and electronic parts, subsystems, integrated circuitry, and algorithms based on established engineering principles and in accordance with development technology practices and guidelines.Designs engineering solutions utilizing multiple engineering disciplines for products, systems, software, firmware and solutions based on established engineering principles and in accordance with development technology practices and guidelines.Deliver the best customer quality by meeting product requirements, driving for breakthroughs in cost and efficiency, selection of new components, schematic implementation, circuit level bring-up, debug and validation.Develops and implements parameters and test plans for new and existing designs, including validation of mechanical, electrical, software, firmware and other engineering specifications and requirements.Collaborates and communicates with management, as well as internal and outsourced development partners regarding design status, project progress, and issue resolutionLeads a project team of other engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high-quality solutions for moderately- complex products.Ability to communicate any technical requirement effectively to a non-technical audience and facilitate cross functional discussion on any electrical related issue or topic.Provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members.Individuals who do well in this role at HP:• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical engineering, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.• Typically has 4-6 years of work experience, preferably in electrical design and tools, software packages, architecture of electronic hardware.Knowledge & Skills• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.• Good project management skills and experience.• Effective communication and presentation skills.• Able to negotiate and influence partners and team members.• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English as the main mode of communication. • Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at management levels.• Experienced in using appropriate engineering design tools and software packages to design components and solutions.• Good understanding of material properties and hardware, software, and electrical component design.• Able to use empirical analysis, modeling and testing methodologies to validate product designs and specifications.• Knowledge in design for quality, EMC, ESD, and DFx etc requirements for supporting high volume products• Strong technical knowledge and experience of power supply design circuit (SMPS) and high speed control, memory circuit (eg.
