PagerDuty is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Director of North America Sales Strategy and Operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in strategic consulting, extensive operations experience in high tech spanning 15 years, and a proven track record of driving business success through effective Sales Strategy and Operations leadership. This role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Sales Strategy and Operations, including forecasting, planning, segmentation, capacity management, deal structure, reporting, and analytics. In addition, the Senior Director will play a critical role in fostering cross-functional partnerships with Marketing and Product. Exceptional executive and cross-functional teaming skills, along with outstanding written and verbal communication abilities, are essential for success in this role. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES : Sales Strategy and Operations Leadership : Provide strategic direction and leadership to the Sales Strategy and Operations team, ensuring the efficient and effective execution of sales processes and initiatives. Consulting Expertise : Leverage previous consulting experience to bring a fresh perspective and innovative solutions to Go to Market (GTM) challenges for Enterprise level customers. Functional Expertise: Oversee all functional aspects of Sales Operations, including forecasting accuracy, sales planning, customer segmentation, capacity management, deal structuring, and comprehensive reporting and analytics. Cross-Functional Collaboration : Collaborate closely with key stakeholders in Sales, Finance, Marketing, and Product teams to drive alignment and synergy across these critical functions to enable streamlined execution of GTM motions Executive Partnership: Develop and maintain strong relationships with executive leadership, providing valuable insights and recommendations to inform strategic decision-making.  Team Building: Build and lead a high-performing Sales Operations team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in Sales Operations, with a strong background in consulting. Proven expertise in forecasting, planning, segmentation, capacity management, deal structuring, reporting, and analytics. Exceptional executive and cross-functional teaming skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively at all organizational levels. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Demonstrated leadership experience, including team management and development. Unrestricted, permanent work authorization in the United States PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in GTM strategy and operations, ideally in the cloud computing space They will have a passion for problem-solving and an ability to think strategically and execute methodically, while identifying the root cause for the identified problems They should have an aptitude for analytics and data-driven decision-making, and a proven track record of driving successful GTM strategies that include both Product Led Growth and Enterprise Selling motions Demonstrated willingness to perform basic tasks such as creating analytics and writing communications, while also conducting sophisticated work for Senior Executives Curiosity about business and customers (why do customers do what they do); customer-focused in running Strategy & Operations Understanding of various sales tools, how to leverage them effectively, and consult GTM stakeholders on how to properly leverage them to maximize efficiency and selling motions   The base salary range for this position is $185,000 - 283,000 USD. This role may also be eligible for bonus, commission, equity, and/or benefits. Our base salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range, which is subject to change based on primary work location, reflects the minimum and maximum base salary we expect to pay newly hired employees for the position. Within the range, we determine pay for an individual based on a number of factors including market location, job-related knowledge, skills/competencies and experience.
