Podcasts Client Engineering is a small, focused team that builds the Podcasts experience used by millions of people across all of our platforms, including iOS, macOS, Apple Watch, Apple TV, visionOS, Siri, HomePod, and CarPlay. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications 5+ years of experience developing apps for iOS and/or macOS Deep knowledge of Swift. Familiarity with Objective-C and/or Javascript is a plus. Experience working on audio/video apps is a big plus Ability to break-down complex problems and architect practical solutions An eye for extraordinary design and deep appreciation for our customers Strong understanding of multi-threaded and asynchronous programming concepts Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally Comfort leading projects and making key decisions Description Description We are seeking a Podcasts client engineer to focus on the playback experience on our app for all of our platforms: iOS, macOS, tvOS, watchOS, and visionOS. This could include building features like our new transcripts, making enhancements to our player UI, working to improve the performance of our playback engine, or iterating on our queueing behavior.
As a critical member of our small team, we are looking for an engineer with significant experience diving deep into the iOS SDK and environment. You will have the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams throughout Apple, including Design, AVFoundation, UIKit, SwiftUI, and Siri. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $138,900.00 and $256,500.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
