You’ll write and edit internal content and manage external vendors to support our content plan to identify, plan and execute third-party content that supports our marketing campaigns in ways that internal content alone cannot.As a key member of the content team, you’ll work on a range of third-party projects—including reports, technical briefs, e-books and other content. This content is a cornerstone of our product marketing, sales enablement, demand generation and SEO efforts. You’ll also act as a brand ambassador, working with vendors to maintain brand and style consistency across all marketing channels.Your day-to-dayPlan, execute and evaluate third-party content as part of our broader campaign content strategy:Identify gaps in content plan (both in terms of messaging and content mix) and opportunities to reinforce areas of our messaging best validated by a third partyBuild and maintain list of vendors, including pricing, content focus, packages, turnaround times and other pertinent detailsWork with IR team to identify licensable content that supports campaignsProcure statements of work (SOWs) from vendor and work with marcom to get purchase order to vendor for invoicingCreate content management system entries and manage workflow for third-party assets. Connect outside writers with subject-matter experts and background materials, ensure the proper level of reviews (based on how it is branded) and ensure quality and consistency with style and/or messaging where appropriateWrite landing page and supporting copy for third-party assets and secure outside approvals where necessaryWork with creative team and outside vendors on promotional assetsKeep marcom team informed on status of third-party assetsAs hours/bandwidth allow, take on campaign writing assignmentsMeet with product marketing team as needed to clarify messaging and focusCreate outlines, drafts and revisions based on input and feedback from stakeholders, including marcom, product marketing and SEO consultantWrite landing page and supporting copyRequirementsExpertise in publishing technical and marketing documentation with FrameMaker or InDesign.Proven success in synthesizing complex technical concepts and communicating them clearly, concisely and on timeAbility to juggle multiple projects at once, react to changes, and re-prioritize when necessaryAbility to confidently edit content from other teams in a way that is faithful to the author’s meaning but consistent with our style guidelines and centered on and empathetic to our readersAbility to self-manage projects and work within deadlines with multiple stakeholdersAbility to generate and present ideas and strategies to technical audiencesFamiliarity with the AP Stylebook and ability to master and contribute to our in-house style guideWhy ProofpointWe are wholly devoted to helping our customers protect their greatest assets and biggest security risk: their people.
