If you already have a Candidate Account, please Sign-In before you apply.Job Description:Being first is in our DNA.  As the preeminent technology leader in DOCSIS, Broadcom's Cable Modem group has been setting the pace of development for the industry.  As part of this team you will be on the cutting edge of cable and networking technologies, working with geographically and technologically diverse engineers to automate and test new features, develop in-house test tools, and support and expand existing test network infrastructure.The role of System Test Engineer includes but is not limited to the following responsibilities: Collaborate with development, test and other internal engineering groups to identify, report, and resolve issues found during testingCreate and maintain test automation for existing and new features in softwareWork on improving processes and tools that help engineers perform testingWork with engineering leads to develop testing platforms and methodologies JOB REQUIREMENTS:BS degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering12+ years in software engineering experienceStrong technical abilities, problem-solving, design, coding, and debugging skillsStrong skills in TCL or other scripting languages are a mustStrong knowledge and hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas: Ethernet, VLANs, IP Routing, TCP/IP, IGMP, PIM SM/ SSM, L2-L3 protocols, network managementKnowledge/experience with software development processes (git, gitlab, reviewboard, etc)Good experience working on Linux-based OSAdditional Job Description:Compensation and BenefitsThe annual base salary range for this position is $111,000 - $185,000This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
