We embrace diversity in thought and contribution and are committed to providing an equitable work environment that is foundational to our core values as a company and is vital to our success. Senior Data Center Technician IV- NightsJob SummaryThe Senior Data Center Technician IV troubleshoots and installs advanced circuits, and performs custom installations.ResponsibilitiesYou are responsible for racking and stacking, and powering up customer equipmentYou have the ability to read installation plans (Visio Drawings / Spreadsheets) and implement installation accordinglyYou will install circuit requiring advanced fiber terminationsYou will maintain queue managementDetermines work priorities from the Oracle queue and ensures alignment to all commit timesIn this role you will troubleshoot switched/multiplexed/media converted circuits; raises to, and work with networking group, as neededYou will work with customers to solve issuesInstalls/tests/modifies cross connects per SOPs and ensures proper cable management of: coax, fiber, twisted pair copper, and intra-building cross connectsInstalls and tests advanced cross connects circuits (switched, multiplexed, etc.)Maintains detailed written records of all your work activityDesigns and leads cage/infrastructure modification projectsFinishes the assigned training in a timely mannerYou are passionate about customer happiness through timely and precise order executionQualifications1+ years experienceYou have your High School DiplomaBERT and SONET test equipmentYou are able to perform all essential job functions, including walking, standing, bending, stooping, climbing, lifting and manual dexterity, with or without reasonable accommodationYou can lift heavy equipment/items up to 50 poundsYou are available to work days/nights/weekends/holidays, if needed and/or requiredEquinix is an Equal Employment Opportunity and, in the U.S., an Affirmative Action employer.
