Our historic reliance upon 'organic', ad-hoc internal communications will no longer suffice. So, we are looking to you to set the strategy and the pace for an internal communications transformation. You will own our internal communications strategy and oversee its execution. This includes but is not limited to the set up and maintenance of our internal comms infrastructure and channels, company meetings, and newsletters; the establishment of internal comms policies, norms, guidelines, and associated training of colleagues; partnering with senior leadership to shape strategic comms; and establishing, owning, and driving internal comms success metrics and reporting. Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement a strategic internal communications plan that aligns with company objectives, principles, and culture - including developing and utilizing appropriate channels, branding, and mediums Evaluate the effectiveness of initiatives to understand short-term and long-term successCraft compelling and engaging storytelling and messaging that convey information in a relatable manner to all employee groupsDemonstrate thought leadership on the timing and cascading of key communicationsLead and support company event planning projects such as company meetings ensuring that DataRobot’s values and purpose are abundantly evident to participants, both in terms of the messaging and the environmentAssist with the rollout of new efforts related to the evolution of a positive work culture in a post-pandemic world, reaching a global, employee population, inclusive of promotions to employees engaged in differing, new ways of working (remote, hybrid, in-office) Collaborate with C-suite executives and department heads to develop tailored communication strategies and messaging.Work closely with the People Team to ensure effective strategic planning and delivery of communications and culture projectsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Comfortable developing and leading strategies, new ideas, and communication solutions for a wide variety of audiences and situationsAbility to turn complex, sophisticated business messages into communications that are appropriate for different audiences and business lines (e.g., senior leaders, managers, all employees)Well-developed and dynamic writing skills, demonstrating excellent command of language and the ability to compose clear and engaging communications creativelyStrong ability to collaborate with all levels of the organization including executive leadershipA proven track record partnering with executive leaders to understand a business strategy and develop an internal communications strategy to support it.Strong decision-making skills and good judgment Comfortable working through ambiguityExcellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to craft and deliver presentations to large and small groups A true writing pro! Someone with a deep understanding of grammar, strong attention to detail, and fine-tuned editorial and copy-editing skills from memos to speeches, as well as an understanding of how to write “in the voice of an executive” Experience managing a variety of communications channels, including convening tools for virtual town halls, intranets/websites, Slack, mobile, video, etc.10+ years of progressive experience developing strategy and execution in an internal and executive communications role with a focus on employee engagement or employee experience preferred Experience working in the tech industry is preferredExperience in managing relationships with business executives, agencies, and vendorsBachelor’s degree in Communications, Business, or a related fieldThe talent and dedication of our employees are at the core of DataRobot’s journey to be an iconic company.
