What this role isYou will work closely with both Genesys Cloud Testing and Development resources to lead efforts to design, develop and maintain features in a complex and ever-changing cloud-based environment. You will also take ownership of critical testing services and processes that shape how performance testing is done at Genesys Cloud. This role sits within the greater Genesys Cloud Performance group and reports to a Team Lead. Our group’s purpose is to provide a unique set of services, tools and analysis that provide Genesys Cloud with the ability to ensure quality under high load production situations.What this role isn’tIt is not just executing tests or maintenance of test jobs and pipelines. You will need Production First Mindset – the goal is to prevent problems that could impact Production stability before they happen. You need to keep up to date with the latest trends in cloud technology, especially as it applies to the AWS platform and its growing feature set. What you’ll doConsult with internal teams, assisting with instrumentation, monitoring, and alerting of microservices on AWS to ensure reliability and performance.Conduct root cause analysis for incidents with monitoring solutions, addressing issues promptly to maintain system observability.Participate in test environment on-call rotations, responding to incidents and contributing to post-incident analysis.Cultivate a positive attitude and willingness to take on new tasks as they arise. Lead development and execution of performance test plans for new and existing Genesys Cloud features by leveraging cutting edge tools.Participate in code reviews across multiple services.Own and maintain performance testing services and processes, suggesting improvements either with code changes and/or architecture changes.Who you are (Minimum requirements) Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related discipline.Proven experience in designing and implementing performance testing solutions for cloud-native microservices.Proficient in root cause analysis and incident response methodologies.Understanding of observability patterns, including metrics, traces, and logs.Experience with any of the following programming languages:PythonTypeScript or JavaScriptC#JavaFirm understanding of backend microservice development, including ReST, asynchronous messaging (Kafka, etc.), and NoSQL solutions.Be proficient in one or more cloud providers, including AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.If a Genesys employee referred you, please use the link they sent you to apply.About Genesys:Every year, Genesys orchestrates billions of remarkable customer experiences for organizations in more than 100 countries.
