NVIDIA is seeking a Data Center Deployment team manager to join its Professional Services team. Academic and commercial groups worldwide are using NVIDIA products to redefine deep learning, data analytics, and power data centers. NVIDIA is looking for someone who can lead a data center planning and system, network, and cabling team and bring up engineers working on a complex customer-focused team that requires excellent interpersonal skills.This role will involve interacting with customers, partners, and internal teams to analyze, define, and implement large-scale data center projects. These efforts include a combination of leading practical experience in handling data center teams deploying servers, systems, and networks with an assurance of continual and efficient planning, operation, validation services, and team performance.What you will be doing:Lead a team that performs data center planning, deploying, and upgrading NVIDIA products, hardware software, and services required for NVIDA's customer data center infrastructure.Provides technical direction to the systems & networking deployment team daily. Serves as the overarching manager on all initiatives, allocating team schedules and prioritizing requests. Taking and reviewing initiatives provides feedback and technical Guidance on more ambitious issues that arise.Close coordination, planning, and execution for data center facility network design and changes with the facilities management team and customer's IT Infrastructure planning for new and changed requirements.Ensure mitigation of deployment risks across data center project delivery activities, equipment, and logistics.Develop, maintain and supervise effective planning and deployment operation processes to prevent infrastructure, systems, and services failures.Be responsible for all aspects of the team data center's critical physical infrastructure. Ensure that all work performed within the space is of high quality and without impact to internal/external users, partners, and contractors.Analysis needs related to deployment services and recommendations regarding appropriate purchases.Coordinate for ongoing improvement planning to effectively and efficiently improve deployment methodologies.Work closely with our contractor vendors to ensure timely and cost-sensitive proposals and execution. Coordinates daily with many third-party vendors, ensuring adherence to contracted SLAs.Ensure all operational KPIs and metrics are being measured and met. Be passionate about the quality and quantity of services provided, and continuously strive to improve our user experience.Keep abreast with NVIDIA product trends and technology in data center facilities, systems & networking-related areas. Makes recommendations to meet the institution's current and future needsEnsures documentation, policies, procedures, and guidelines of systems, resources, and activities.Supervise, develop, evaluate, mentor, and coach staff. Nurture an environment of continual learning and growth for team members.What we need to see:10+ years of overall experience in enterprise-level data centers with continual infrastructure and service improvement, with 5+ years of managing a team.Data Center, Servers, and Networks related certification – preferredBachelors degree or equivalent experience.In-depth Practical knowledge and experience of data center environments, servers, network equipment, operations and servicesExtensive experience in installing, monitoring, and maintaining data center equipment.Analytical Attitude & Problem Solving - able to analyze information, problems, situations, practices, and/or procedures, collect and interpret data, reason logically, establish facts, identify and define existing and potential issues, recognize the interrelationships among elements, draw valid conclusions, develop recommendations, as well as alternative courses of action, select appropriate course, follow up, and evaluateExceptional ability to work as part of a team, provide IT support, and resolve errors.Organization & Time Management – able to plan, schedule, and organize tasks related to the job to achieve goals within or ahead of established time frames.Willingness to travel (25%).Way to stand out from the crowd:Experience in data center operations process, safety, and security measures.Knowledge of data center InfrastructureOutstanding social skills.NVIDIA is widely considered one of the world's most desirable employers in technology.
