Deliver unmatched experiences to users The opportunity:  As a Manager of Truckload Operations you will focus on leading service delivery teams that ensure customer freight moves where and when they need it. You will establish the service strategy for specific customers, build our operations culture, and develop and grow your own team. You will work cross functionally to innovate on our approach and find new efficiencies in our processes. The ability to deep dive on an issue, analyze data, adjust strategy, and cast vision for your team are essential to success in this role. Your progress doesn’t halt due to ambiguity, you love solving problems, and you possess a knack for communication and driving change. Our working model is hybrid, with an expectation to collaborate in office three days per week You will: Build and lead a world-class team to ensure operational effectiveness and deliver exceptional customer experiences Understand the customer and partner with sales to develop a service strategy that meets the customer's needs Proactively engage and communicate with customers to ensure service expectations are regularly exceeded  Manage performance and support developmental growth of the team Ensure offshore/nearshore contract teams are trained, deployed properly, and being held to our high standards Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product & Engineering, and Brokerage in order to optimize customer solutions Manage customer escalations by identifying root causes and identify countermeasures to support the service recovery plan Work on complex issues where problems are not clearly defined Successfully launch new shippers and new programs for existing shippers Manage day to day service execution including team scheduling to ensure appropriate coverage and high-quality service Partner with Sales to turn service touchpoints into opportunities to capture incremental revenue You should have:   3-5 years of experience in people leadership  Intrinsic competitiveness and burning desire to win Experience building strong relationships with external customers and internal partners Experience partnering with business outsource providers and working with vendor teams Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal Proven ability to make strategic decisions based on data Curiosity combined with an entrepreneurial spirit and ‘solve-the-problem’ mentality Startup, tech, or freight experience a plus A "compliance first" attitude to keep our regulators happy and enthusiastic about Flexport since we operate in a heavily regulated industry.   The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range displayed, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and / or training.
