Job Requisition ID #24WD76505We are looking for a Director of Corporate Development to lead our end-to-end deal activities on behalf of the Autodesk Media & Entertainment business. The Corporate Development team is a highly-visible, impactful and close-knit team that has closed over 160 acquisitions and strategic investments in the last decade. In the last five years this role architected our Construction M&A strategy, closed deals with US, UK, India, Norway & Australia operations and deployed over $2.5 billion. As a Corporate Development Director, you will report to the Vice President, Corporate Development, and will lead cross functional deal teams in driving end-to-end deal execution. You will be a Deal Lead for all elements of the M&A process, including engaging with senior leaders across Autodesk and other partners both internally and externally. You will be a key player on the team driving multiple areas of strategic growth for Autodesk. ResponsibilitiesLead inorganic (M&A, investment, divestiture) execution activities for the Autodesk M&E businessParticipate in development of inorganic growth strategy and translation into activities, pipelines and targetsIdentify and source acquisitions for new businesses, technologies, markets, and/or geographic expansion. Lead due diligence and operational assessments to ensure successful implementationNurture and develop industry relationships and represent Autodesk externallyMonitor competitors and industry trends, work with in-house research departments to develop metrics, interpret results, devise corresponding market strategies, and present recommendations to business leadersWork in a flexible environment that relies heavily on cross-functional interaction and dealing with remote resourcesDemonstrate initiative, innovation, and team focus in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities Minimum QualificationsMinimum of 10+ years experience in investment banking, venture capital and/or corporate developmentProven M&A expertise with a robust track record of driving transactions from sourcing through integrationProven deal planning, financial analysis and negotiation skillsStrong business sense and the ability to quickly learn and analyze a new marketExcellent communication, presentation, influencing and facilitative skills and the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of leadershipExecutive presence and the ability to forge working relationships with external CEOs, lawyers, bankers, VCs and internally with executives throughout the companySkillful in explaining complex concepts to a non-technical audienceProven project-management capabilities in complex environments with evolving requirements, priorities, and deadlines with executive-level accountability/visibilityPrevious M&E industry or consulting experience is preferredLearn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk! For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $171,800 and $277,970. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
