The Visual Designer is part of our International Design organisation, focused on Apple Music. This is a 12-month parental leave contract, based in London.
We're looking for a strategic thinker, problem solver and visual communicator who wants to have their hands in several things at once; who can deliver end-to-end design across Apple Music; and who can collaborate well across internal teams. Primarily focused on development with some production, this role is responsible for campaign creative, building and extending design systems, along with supporting playlist and radio show creative. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Demonstrates design development experience within editorial, advertising and/or branding. Expert level in Photoshop, Illustrator. Deep understanding of digital design, typography and brand development. Expert level photo retouching and compositing. A comprehensive understanding of animation and motion design. Presentation experience in layout and delivery. Ability to work independently to troubleshoot technical and process related issues. Excellent communication; both written and verbal. Experience in a fast paced working environment. An appreciation of the Apple design aesthetic and history. An understanding of design history and contemporary executions and trends. A passion towards music and the cultural touch points. Experience in music, entertainment or agency / editorial is a big plus. Description Description The team and this role work with cross-functional teams, such as Editorial, Product Design, Original Content, Marketing, Video and Motion, Art Buying, Localisation and Engineering. You will be accountable for the development and scaling of existing brands across Apple Music playlists, radio shows, value campaigns, local promotions, editorial collections, all which extend into weekly featuring art on Apple Music and in social. In addition to art direction and hands on design, you will possess a keen eye to ensure quality across static and motion assets. All design at Apple is considered very closely by many teams. You will need to have experience working in a fast paced, iterative process and be able to manage multiple asks and feedback with great efficiency. Education & Experience Education & Experience Degree in BSc/BA Graphic Design, Digital Design, Visual Communication or equivalent work experience.
