Summary Posted: Apr 5, 2024 Role Number: 200546297 The process industrialization group is looking for a motivated engineer who will develop, deploy, and maintain near-line metrology systems to enable the successful integration of multi-layer thin films into a functional device. The ideal candidate shows initiative and can drive projects independently with inputs and requirements from multiple collaborators. A successful engineer needs to be comfortable with constantly evolving priorities and is a thoughtful, nimble, and productive problem solver. A background in optical inspection systems, failure analysis, and statistical process control is necessary to ensure critical to quality metrics are met. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Deep knowledge in automated optical defect inspection and other near-line optical and physical metrology systems. Working experience with or knowledge of quality fields such as 8D, Six Sigma, etc. Proven practical experience in leading engineering projects demonstrating an ability to plan, implement, and communicate to multi-functional audiences. Demonstrated ability to work with process engineers, vendors, domain experts, and multi-functional teams to develop and implement new measurement and inspection applications. Experience with statistics and data analysis software such as JMP, Minitab, Python, etc. Working knowledge of deep learning-based machine vision applications for process development and improvement. Strong knowledge and application of engineering methodology and quality assurance methods. Statistical analysis and formal problem-solving tools (SPC, GR&R, DOE, ANOVA, Fishbone, FMEA, RCA, FTA, etc.) Understanding and/or experience with characterization and FA techniques (FTIR, Optical Profilometry, Spectroscopy, XRF) Background in thin-films and device integration is highly desired. Description Description - Implement procedures to inspect, test, and evaluate reliability of equipment, process, and products.
- Establish SPC systems and maintain data collection and performance measurements to track performance consistency.
- Work closely with multi-functional groups on continuous improvement activities, solving metrology and yield problems and improving overall product quality.
- Lead failure analysis, root cause understanding, and implementation of corrective actions.
- Perform gage capability, GR&R (MSA), tool matching, and measurement uncertainty studies for metrology equipment. Collaborate with vendors to assess specifications, purchase of equipment, and evaluate products against quality standards. Education & Experience Education & Experience BS and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience. MS preferred. The base pay range for this role is between $132,300.00 and $241,500.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
