Consumer Subscriptions Strategic Forecasting and Data Science ExpertDescription -HP Inc. Consumer Services and Solutions is a growing subscriptions business and top priority for the business. The Business Forecasting, Planning, and Channel Compensation team is looking for a technically diverse, analytical, business oriented, collaborative, & highly driven individual to develop 5 year strategic forecasts, driver models, and business insights tools.   This team is part of Subscriber Growth’s Insights and Analytics organization, and we are at the intersection of business performance management and planning for our short- and long-term strategy. .  We collaborate with cross functional stakeholders to develop short term enrollee forecasts, 5 year strategic enrollee forecasts, forecast driver models, business dashboards, and financial projections.  Qualified individuals will have a growth mindset, aptitude for always learning, experience working on complex problems of diverse scope requiring in-depth evaluation and solution implementation, collaborating, and taking initiative.  Advanced business and data modeling knowledge is required. ResponsibilitiesParticipates as a senior member of team of other data science engineers and planners carrying out the investigation, design, development, and implementation of strategic forecasts, subscription driver models, and projects to generate new insights.Creates extensive plans, data collection and analysis procedures and data insight visualizations for assigned projects.Collaborates with partners from business management, data engineering, and finance to develop and monitor business plans and proactively quantify new opportunities.Leads complex data and business analyses to develop business plans and identifies recommendations and insights.Works independently to construct highly complex mathematical and assumption-based models to forecast business performance.Establishes the metrics required to measure business performance and develops the process for identifying and addressing forecast performance gaps.Develops go-forward subscription business plan forecasts based on potential risks and returns.Identifies cutting-edge tools, models, and methods for recurring and ad-hoc modeling and making key business decisions.Education and Experience RequiredBachelor's, Master's or PHD degree in Mathematics, Economics, Physics, Computer Science, or equivalent.Typically 6-10 years of work experience in strategy, planning, operations, finance, or related functional area.Knowledge and SkillsExtensive use of scientific design and data collection methodologies, tools and analysis packages to collect, validate, and analyze data.Fluent in relational based systems and writing complex SQL.Strong experience in coding languages like Python, Scala & JavaExpertise in machine learning and statistical modelingExperience in Big Data Distributed systems such as Databricks.Expertise in data visualization such as PowerBIExtensive knowledge of strategic forecasting methods for key business issues.Excellent analytical thinking, technical analysis, and data manipulation skills.Excellent data quality, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Strong Business AcumenPrint, PC, and/or consumer subscription business experience.Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.Ability to effectively communicate research plans, proposals, and results, and negotiate options at senior management levels.Impact/ScopeCollaborates with peers, data scientists and engineers, business managers, and product development partners.Typically interacts with high-level Individual Contributors, Managers and Program Core Teams.Participates in projects requiring data science engineering. HP offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:•  Dental insurance•  Disability insurance•  Employee assistance program•  Flexible schedule•  Flexible spending account•  Health insurance•  Life insurance  Per the Washington statute, the estimated range of compensation for this job in that location, at the time of this posting, is $126,900 - $155,100.  This position may be eligible for incentive pay, for openings where this is applicable.Job -SoftwareSchedule -Full timeShift -No shift premium (United States of America)Travel -Relocation -Equal Opportunity Employer (EEO) - HP, Inc. provides equal employment opportunity to all employees and prospective employees, without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, ancestry, citizenship, sexual orientation, age, disability, or status as a protected veteran, marital status, familial status, physical or mental disability, medical condition, pregnancy, genetic predisposition or carrier status, uniformed service status, political affiliation or any other characteristic protected by applicable national, federal, state, and local law(s).Please be assured that you will not be subject to any adverse treatment if you choose to disclose the information requested.
