Summary Posted: Apr 3, 2024 Role Number: 200545808 Apple is searching for a candidate to join a team working in an engineering test and characterization lab to perform advanced electro-optical characterization and bring up and maintain metrology systems. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Experience in optical, display, sensor, or similar device testing. Hands-on experience with standard laboratory test equipment operation: multimeters, SMUs, analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc. Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and problem-solving related to metrology systems. Occasional need of soldering skills to perform board component rework. Basic knowledge of networking, remote desktop, Macintosh and Windows OS. Experience with Excel data collection, LabVIEW or Python software test interfaces. Demonstrated ability to keep track of various ongoing tasks, keep lab hardware organized, and attention to detail. Adaptable, can work in a fast-changing environment, handling multiple projects at once. Excellent verbal & written communication skills to interact accurately and concisely with team members is required. Experience supporting test engineers by performing standard tests and experiments. Job may involve off hours support during critical development phases. Flexibility with working hours desired. Willingness to learn new skills. Description Description Work with the engineers to learn all the metrology systems in the lab. Perform standard or advanced optical/electrical measurements. Support engineers to set up new equipment or modify existing equipment. Interface with hardware engineers on root cause and resolution of hardware and software issues. Keep lab space organized, order materials and help with organize shipments. Log hardware issues and track hardware bugs. Maintain test schedules and parts inventory. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $32.10 and $54.55/hr, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
