The Silicon Validation Team is responsible for testing and validating industry-leading integrated circuit solutions. We build the fastest, most efficient, highest quality, most reliable and secure designs in the world! As part of this team, work with multiple groups to develop and test aspects of validation platforms to meet Apple’s constantly changing landscape. In this role you would be responsible for PCB infrastructure for silicon validation operations, helping the team produce the greatest solutions achievable! Key Qualifications Key Qualifications We would prefer that you have the following skills: - Experience with building PCB system components from design to fabrication - Strong experience working as part of a cross-functional engineering team - Comfortable being a self-starter and initial design concept contributor - Experience developing and tracking integration requirements of multiple PCB systems - Familiarity with design of PCBA test fixtures and hardware - Experience in PCBA design to meet hardware requirements - Ability to evaluate designs for interference, heat dissipation, vibration, and air flow - Familiarity with CAD tools necessary for design and integration - Experience with assembly and test of design solutions at component and system levels - Strong knowledge of GD&T and DFM analysis Description Description We are looking for an engineer with experience in design, analysis, sourcing, fabrication, and assembly of lab infrastructure components. In this role you will work closely with hardware design, validation, and silicon design teams within Apple to provide solutions for the validation from bench to automated testing. You will be expected to participate in all levels of this process covering a wide range of engineering including, but not limited to, thermal solutions, test fixtures, enclosures, and interference checks. You’ll also have the opportunity to analyze thermal solutions for these validation systems. In addition to design, as a part of this role you will responsible for working with external manufacturing houses on procurement, quoting, quality inspection and assembly of sub system assemblies. We are a small cross functional team producing validation platforms with complex requirements. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $170,700.00 and $300,200.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
