You will provide hands-on analysis as a Sr. Failure Analysis engineer and interface with lab and multi-functional partners to tackle some of the industry’s most complex and significant problems. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications To be successful in this role, you should have in-depth, hands-on experience and a deep understanding of both Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) and Focused Ion Beam (FIB/SEM) analysis of materials and of failure analysis methodology You have a passion for materials problem solving by demonstrating these electron microscopy techniques You have the ability to apply understanding of advantages and limitations of FA tools to follow the best course of action to determine root cause You have the ability to convey complex data sets from multiple sources into a concise and understandable form This role deals with high volume activity. Being organized and meticulous will help you keep up with the action. You have exceptional problem solving abilities You have excellent verbal and written communication skills You have the ability to juggle multiple high priority tasks at the same time Willingness to collaborate closely across the organization Flexible and able to quickly change course to meet the needs of the business. Description Description We seek someone who thoughtfully resolves issues using creative ideas, has a strong TEM and materials science background and a willingness to focus on the root cause of failures and to develop recommendations for improvement and corrective action. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting new materials, process development and other issues based on TEM data. They will work closely with other technical people across the lab team, and be open to learning new techniques such as 4D-STEM, etc. Education & Experience Education & Experience This position requires 5+ years of experience with materials characterization / failure analysis in an industrial environment. M.S. or PhD in Materials Science or a related discipline (Applied Physics or Mechanical Engineering, for example). This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $170,700.00 and $300,200.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
