As a part of supporting Autodesk's overarching transformational vision, the Platform Data team is focused on new ways of offering useful, connected, and accessible data to rethink how the AEC industry design and constructs the built world. It's an exciting time for this group. The Technical Product Manager (TPM) role is a critical part of formulating how we execute to deliver on the mission and strategy making that vision a reality. The TPM is responsible for furthering near-term facets of the product vision and roadmap through day-to-day collaboration with product managers, product owners, technical delivery teams, peer organizations, end users, and customers.As a TPM, you help shape the longer-term roadmap, define scope, and implement planning accordingly. You'll take a form-follows-function approach to starting first with agreement on intended outcomes, and following up to realize outcomes through thoughtful, mission-focused solutions. You'll showcase conviction for how and why to deliver value, possess the ability to offer clarity that bolsters technical alignment on outcomes, and exude the passion to ensure business goals are reflected in daily delivery.ResponsibilitiesYou will proficiently summarize customer needs and goals in concise epics and product-epicsYou will divide overall project goals into prioritized deliverables for sequential and focused progressYou will support product owners in resolving ambiguous business priority conflictsYou will guide the delivery of value in clear and bounded incrementsDirect the team to create charters as business and project conditions evolveConfirm with the team an appropriate Definition of Done for each user storyMaintain the integrity and guide the evolution of themes, epics, and user storiesAdjust project priorities according to evolving business and project conditionsSupport product owners to validate and ensure adherence to Definition of Done and Definition of Ready standardsEnsure transparency, understanding, and agreement of team focus and direction among all team membersSupport partner communication regarding changes in priorities and progress towards fulfillment of the product requirementsMinimum QualificationsBS Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Computer Science, or Business ManagementAt least 5 years of displayed professional experience delivering products in the software industry for AECPassion for data and finding ways for it to be used, exchanged, and standardized to address customer challengesInfluence with and without authority, in matrixed environmentsApproach complex organizational dialogue with empathy, creativity, and curiosityDemonstrated ability to understand, document, and mitigate riskDemonstrated ability to define and track KPIs and other measurable success criteriaDemonstrated experience working across multiple technical teams, both within and across orgsDemonstrated knowledge of full PDLCStrong understanding of technical workflows in cloud-based infrastructureExperience defining and tracking metrics that measure the success of products and ability to use analytics to make thoughtful decisions#LI-DT1Learn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk! For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $134,000 and $216,700. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
