The role of the Business Value Strategist is highly coordinated with the Senior Director, Value Management Office, and autonomous, working directly with Product Marketing, Sales Operations, Sales, and Presales organizations to create value models and value propositions to align customers' initiatives to Proofpoint's solutions.Key responsibilities include:Building financial models and customer-facing assets that translate Proofpoint’s solutions into business value.Working cross-functionally, and globally, with all relevant teams in the Proofpoint organization to collect and process information required for financial modeling: product management, product marketing, sales, sales operations, finance, etc.Coaching sales teams on critical business issues faced by customers and helping articulate Proofpoint’s value proposition from a business value point of view.Engaging with customer executives to discuss Proofpoint’s business value approach, and present analysis results relevant to the opportunities being discussed.Establishing credibility quickly with executive customer stakeholders.Viewing the end products from a customer perspective.Drawing insights about customers and customer segments from public sources.Using customer-facing assets to facilitate a constructive dialogue moving the group to conclusions.Leveraging your internal and customer network to add to the sales cycle.Investing time in documenting best practices, capturing, and disseminating knowledge, and other initiatives that enhance the organization.Skills:BA or MBA and/or relevant experience in business, finance and/or consulting in the IT industry.Strong problem-solving and analytical ability.Strong ability to create and maintain analytical models (in Excel or any other application).Strong verbal and written communication skills.Prior experience/understanding of large software deals.Prior experience with cyber-security projects and articulating critical success factors.Project management experience involving software decision-making processes and implementations.Professional consulting experience, presentation, and character.Substantial experience working in an enterprise-type software consulting, implementation, and training experience is a plus.Prior experience as a business value strategist in complex technology environments is a plus.#LI-JK1If you like wild growth and working with happy, enthusiastic over-achievers, you'll enjoy your career with us!Consistent with Proofpoint values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity.
