The Revenue department at Q2 offers a dynamic work environment that welcomes innovative ideas, rewards hard work and commitment, exposes its members to growth opportunities, and encourages evolution of individuals, methodologies, processes, and systems. This position will report into the Director, Accounting.General Ledger:Monthly book closing activities like accruals, amortizations, and allocations.Preparation of general ledger account reconciliations.Accounts Receivable:Revenue from usage collection/aggregation, reporting and reconciliations.Generate and review customer invoices in accordance with contractual terms and company policies.Validate and Maintain list of customers.Track, co-ordinate and follow-up with the product or service teams for efforts billable and generate invoices.Ensure accuracy and completeness of billing documentation and supporting records.Investigate and resolve any billing discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.Communicate with customers to collect outstanding balances and resolve payment discrepancies.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address collection challenges and implement strategies to improve cash flow. Knowing review of contracts and agreements to identify and assess revenue implications, ensuring compliance with accounting standards (eg., ASC 606) is an added advantage.Co-ordinate with sales, legal and other teams to ensure accurate interpretation and implementation of contract terms related to revenue recognition.Banking:Recording customer payments or collections.Support in bank reconciliations relating to customer payments or collections.Reporting & Audit:Work closely with external auditors during the audit process, providing support and documentation as needed.Perform ad-hoc analysis and projects as assigned by management.Key Skills/Abilities:Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 7 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with 5+ years of experience; or equivalent related work experience with exposure to Global Operations.Prior revenue accounting experience preferred, software-as-a-service (SaaS) revenue accounting experience a plusAdvanced MS Excel knowledge required with exposure to global ERPAbility to organize and analyze large volumes of data with exceptional attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a collaborative team environment.Effective oral and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt to changing business needs.Ability to multitask, transition to new roles and meet changing deadlines.Maintains confidentiality.This position requires fluent written and oral communication in English.
