We are on a path to building a set of new-generation data platforms to build and operate various databases and data stream platforms in the cloud and OnPrem, an “infrastructure as code” mindset. We use various databases, RDBMS, and NoSQL technologies. We support multiple database platforms - running on private and public cloud infrastructure - powering the world’s most extensive ticketing system and serving 170M customers. This includes but is not limited to provisioning infrastructure, providing lifecycle management, integrating security and compliance, and building and maintaining the CI/CD pipeline.Following best practices and integrating different components that compose the platform. Providing user onboard and user support to internal customers: database service teams and engineering teams. Working closely with service owners, internal stakeholders, and the software developers team to continuously design and build additional components of the existing platform tools to align with business objectives.Documenting the platform configuration and process so different teams can understand how to use them.Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members as needed.To succeed in this role, you’ll need to be comfortable with cloud infrastructure, software development, container orchestration, databases (relational and NoSQL), and data streams,  and engage directly with technical stakeholders and understand their needs. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (or TECHNICAL SKILLS)The ideal candidate is a solutions-oriented person who can learn new technologies quickly and who can become competent with all layers of the development platform.At least 8+ years working with a variety of programming languages such as Java, Python, Go, JavaScript, etcSolid hands-on experience with Java/J2EE and frameworks like Kubernetes.Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex systems and established code bases.Experience in problem-solving and root-cause analysis on any errors during the process of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) implementation and providing audit and compliance support when required.Experience in automated testing is an advantage.Has the desire and ability to solve complex problems.Having excellent communication and collaboration skills that can effectively communicate his/her ideas and designs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Having a strong level of independence can fit into a home working style.Has the ability to identify and articulate problems as they arise.YOU (BEHAVIOURAL SKILLS)Creativity, innovation, and persistence.Resourcefulness and the ability to think outside of the box.Serving as a role model for best practices.LIFE AT TICKETMASTERWe are proud to be a part of Live Nation Entertainment, the world’s largest live entertainment company.Our vision at Ticketmaster is to connect people around the world to the live events they love.
