Smartsheet operates a global Privacy Program and is looking to add a Privacy Analyst to our growing team. The ideal candidate will have some knowledge, experience, or passion for privacy and technology but extensive privacy or technology experience is not required for this role. A natural curiosity, excellent attention to detail, and comfort in adapting to new challenges will be keys to success in this role.
The Privacy Analyst will be located within the Legal Privacy Team and will report directly to the Manager, Privacy & Data Governance Program Management. This role can be based remotely within Costa Rica or in Smartsheet’s corporate offices in San José.
You Will:
Develop an understanding of key privacy concepts, including fundamentals of internal policies, privacy controls aligned to NIST, ISO 27701:2019, and other applicable data privacy laws and standards
Execute privacy rights requests or data subject requests according to documented procedures
Respond to questions or concerns from internal and external customers about Smartsheet’s privacy practices
Assist with selection and implementation of privacy tools to mature the privacy program and build scalable processes
Contribute to the development and publishing of internal privacy training and awareness content
Assist with the creation and management of internal and external privacy resources
Support annual audits of the Smartsheet privacy program
Be responsible and accountable for handling sensitive information
Collaborate successfully with groups across the organization
You Have:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four year university
Up to 2 years of related experience in either privacy, GRC, compliance, security, or similar field
Inquisitive, problem-solving mindset
Excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
Strong interpersonal, analytical, and customer service skills
Exceptional attention to detail
Experience with Project Management applications (i.e MS Project, JIRA, or Smartsheet) is desired but not required
CIPP, CIPM, or CIPT certification is desired but not required
