The Mission of the Developer Service team is to establish the foundation for Workday Extend providing best in class services such as Event Messaging architecture, Identity Management, Customer Onboarding, Tenant Management and Provision services. This team builds critical backend infrastructure services for Workday Extend including security components, inter-service control and communication components using open source and latest technologies.We are proud of our forward-thinking, startup-like culture. Every team is a proud service owner, responsible for development, quality and production support.About the RoleWork in a multidisciplinary team delivering core and critical features for Workday ExtendDevelop back-end software in Scala/Java/KotlinIndependently implement features or prototypes, include providing documentation and detailed designDevelop unit, functional, integration, and performance testingDeliver reliable software through continuous integration, automated testing, and in-depth code reviewsWork on an Agile Scrum team that delivers on shared commitmentsDrive and support innovationUnderstand and promote industry best practiceAbout YouBasic Qualifications :  Software Development Engineer4 years experience in developing and maintaining a production microservice and building REST API's1+ years experience with cloud development tooling, Preferably AWS (e.g. S3, Lambda, EC2, CloudFront)3 years experience with functional or imperative programming languages -Java or ScalaBasic Qualifications : Sr. Associate Software Development Engineer3 years experience in developing and maintaining a production microservice and building REST API's1+ years experience with cloud development tooling, Preferably AWS (e.g. S3, Lambda, EC2, CloudFront)2 years experience with functional or imperative programming languages -Java or ScalaOther QualificationsExperience delivering back-end services in microservice or event-driven architecturesExperience with version control technologies such as Git, SVN, etc.Excellent collaboration and communication skillsExcited and passionate to learn new technologies and skillsBachelor’s degree or higher, in Computer Science/Engineering or related technical fieldExperience in cloud native architecture (Docker, Kubernetes, Istio, Helm, Prometheus, Grafana), database and AWS technologies is a plus.Expert troubleshooting skills with large software deployments and distributed systems.Our Approach to Flexible Work With Flex Work, we’re combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote.
